Vera Lu is 11 years old. She started playing piano at 6
and became a student of Dr. Victor Shevtsov in 2008.
Since that time Vera has won:
First Prize in Richmond Music Festival 2008
First Prize in Russian Music Festival 2009
Three First Prizes in Kiwanis Music Festival 2009
First Prize and L'Union-Vie Groupe
financier scholarship

in CMC National Finals 2009 in Montreal
(9 years old category)

In 2009 Vera was selected (among 3 top students of Greater Vancouver)
to participate in Lang Lang Master class.

In 2010 Vera was awarded a Golden Seal for outstanding performance in Seattle International Young Artists Festival.
In Richmond Music Festival 2010 Vera was selected to play in the Gala Concert where she won the Gala Concert Trophy for the most outstanding performance.
Vera Lu received the BCRMTA Trophy for the highest mark in her Grade 10 RCM exam in January 2011
At the Kiwanis Festival 2011 she was named the First Runner up for the Provincial level of the BC Festival of Arts.
