Clarabel Luk is 18 years old and has been studying piano with Dr. V. Shevtsov for 10 years. She received
her ARCT Diploma (First Class Honors with Distinction) and was awarded the BCRMTA Trophy
for the highest mark in this category.
She also won the BCRMTA Trophy
for the highest mark in her Gr.8 piano exam
(First Class Honors with Distinction).
Participating in Kiwanis Music Festivals Clarabel received 11 First Prizes, many Scholarships including "Most Promising Pianist of intermediate division" and memorable medallions.
Clarabel has won the Delta Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2005 (Kabalevsky, Concerto no.3), in 2007 (Saint-Saens, Concerto no.2) and in 2009 (Prokofiev, Concerto no. 3) and in 2011 she was invited to perform Phapsody in Blue by G. Gershwin
with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra.
Clarabel Luk was a National Finalist
of the Canadian Music Competition
in 2006 and 2008 (4th place.)
She was a participant of 6 Young Stars Festivals, organized by the Vitta Piano Studio.
Clarabel is preparing now for the Licentiate of Royal Conservatory of Music in Piano Performance.
