Claire Wen,
a student of Dr. Victor Shevtsov
is 14 years old and she is preparing for her ARCT exam.
Claire received the BCRMTA Trophy for the
highest mark (91%) for her Grade 8 exam
and the BCRMTA Trophy for the highest mark (94%) for her Grade 10 exam.
In the Kiwanis 2008 Claire Wen received
First Prize in the Grade 10 Concert Group class and First Prize, a Scholarship and
Medallion in the Piano Duo class.
She is also a First Prize winner of the
Kiwanis 2009 in one of the ARCT classes.
Claire is a participant of three Young Stars Concerts. In the Young Stars Festival 2008, which took place in the Vancouver Playhouse, Claire played Bach's Two Pianos Concerto with Claire Lee. The Piano Duo was accompanied by the Rim String Quartet
(part of the VMO.)
